Steps to get your RQI BLS CPR Certification

Complies with Clinical Student Requirement

1. Pay the $80 online and skills fee here. Carle Health employees will be registered and paid for by Carle Health.
2. Email your receipt to simlrc@methodistcol.edu. Please make sure your email is spelled correctly, or you won't get a receipt.
3. Life Support will register you after payment is received and will notify the Simulation Center faculty. If you don't receive an email within 48 hours email simlrc@methodistcol.edu.
4. You will receive an email listing 2025 HeartCode Steps.
5. Complete the online learning portion.
6. Complete the self-guided skills session using the RQI cart in E-103, behind security office. No appointment necessary! (First come, first served.) Complete the hands-on portion any time Methodist College is open. Security or Simulation Center staff can unlock the door.
7. Cards will be available immediately via email once skills portion and session evaluation are complete.

Additional Certification Options

CPR: Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers via the American Heart Association. Online courses will not be accepted unless they are accompanied by a hands-on portion.
