Our Future
Since 2006, Methodist College has experienced consistent growth. Over the past decade, the college has seen a more than 400% growth in enrollment -- from 124 students to 680 in 2016. Along with the growth came the need for new facilities to enable the college to provide the quality education needed for the rapidly changing healthcare landscape.
In July 2016, the doors opened to a new 126,000 square foot campus that provides room to accommodate the college's future growth. The growth will be supported with the foundation of a strong Strategic Plan to guide the college's leadership, faculty and staff.
Strategic Initiatives
1. Advancing a Culture of Teaching & Learning - e.g. graduate student learning outcomes, increase number of doctorally-prepared faculty, Campus of Care, co-curricular education
2. Harnessing a Sound Fiscal Foundation - e.g. increase grants, scholarship, decrease tuition dependency
3. Embracing Civic Engagement, Volunteerism & Community Partnerships - e.g. service learning, volunteerism, community partnerships
From emerging trends identified by the President and Cabinet, a fourth initiative also was added in Spring 2016, to focus on the needs of diversifying enrollment.
4. Attracting Post-Traditional Learners to Methodist College.
